A portrait of Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre

Wed 27 April at the Institut Français d’Ecosse at 6 pm
Madeleine Gobeil-Noël, former Director of Arts and Cultural Life at UNESCO, will present her film “Portrait croisé” (A Dual Portrait) released in 1967 in which two of the most influential and controversial thinkers of our time, Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir (1908-1986) agreed to be filmed. For the first time the two allow a candid glimpse into their private lives.
