Be French: be impressed & impressive

Until the 24th of June, you can go and have a look at some of the best of the impressionists at the National Gallery. It's a unique opportunity to look at some pieces from Cardiff's National Museum and Gallery.

Besides, while you're at it, you can also go and see loads of naked people in an adjacent room. (OK Fine! I know I am being puerile, and it's really an exhibition about the changes in representation of the Nude throughout the centuries...) (with some works by Ingres and Boucher).

To cap it all, entrance is free to both events.
What more do you want??

Well, I'll tell you what you want.
You want to go and watch a French film, that is what you want to do!
Fortunately, you can actually do just that by turning up to the Filmhouse between Friday the 10th and Thursday the 16th: they are showing Desplechin's latest offering, Rois et Reine, and it promises to be quite a good view with a twist... More info on the filmhouse website.

Sorry this post is a bit dry - all of my inspiration is going into a translation on the Auld Alliance...

Excellent new lay-out but you might want to check on your comments, they're not working properly. :(
