A French festival?

I regretted not being able to go to the Fête de la Musique - though thanks to Ana, I know where to get some photos - I did hear a LOT about the gainsbourg/brel act - I cannot wait to actually get to see them - get on the Fringe you guys............

In any case, I have been having a look at what's on during the Festival(s), following Mark's advice about the fact that the French Monty Pythons were coming into town... It looks good! I missed it last year, but I am quite determined to get there this year!!!

Also to be noted is the appearance of Corinne Maier in the Book Festival... She basically wrote a guide to how to do as little as possible (Bonjour Paresse) (Hello Laziness!) . Have a listen asap to this BBC radio scotland program to discover this writer (about 30 minutes on) - program is on until Wednesday sooo - you know what you've got to do, right?

I will get back soon with other things of interest during the festival(s) - there is much in terms of theatre, music and (presumably) film....

In the meantime, you can go & have a look at the latest Godard offering shown at the Filmhouse....

On a totally different subject matter (ie not French), I had a good laugh at the new interpretation of Old Mac Donald had a farm according to Eagles' Hotel California (by Harry Hill I believe)... I really had a good laugh at that, hope you do too... You cannot apparently listen to it again but I do recommend listening to BBC Radio 4's I'm sorry I haven't a clue (or you just might depending on your timing!! - I just have...) ... I had tears running down during this amazing rendition of this children's timeless classic... (about 11 minutes 30 in the programme) And also when I listened to the Importance of Being Earnest with Darth Vador and Obi One Kanobi... (about 17 minutes in the programme)...

'nough said for tonight.... A bientôt!

hum, yes, I did not comment very profusely on the Godard film did I? - You may consider that my brain has melted into near oblivion as I am yet again engulfed in some absurd translation - this time about engine oil & antifreeze...) (why? oh why?) (think of the money, yes that's right,
THINK
OF
THE
M O N E Y!!).

Or there again, maybe I was just kind of copping out, as I am not a great Godard fan... (please do feel free to make me change my mind!!!)
