Parisian grump

Here I was in Roissy (Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris) this morning and discovered that the world's favourite airline had erased my bindle-of-love's booking....

Boohoo.

whyohwhyohwhy???!

- well, because as usual I decided to book a return ticket for b-o-l in order to avoid paying an extra £300 (ie. 3000 balles - well, I am not sure what it is in euros, or dollars, but you may check it out here).
It had worked in the past, what could go wrong this time? - well, apparently it's their (new???) policy to cancel your booking if you don't use the initial flight... So b-o-l was purely and simply erased from their systems. He just didn't exist anymore!!!! His booking was all gone...

In order to be able to take him back to Lovely Embra, I was initially informed I would have to fork £450 extra (still referring you to the above ref for currency exchange rates...). After much discussions (all 45 minutes of them), I was offered the opportunity to pay 65 euros to have the return ticket revalued... Soooo happy with the privilege! I just wanted to shout... Oh well I will just refer you to this to find out exactly what I wanted to shout. I can tell you, it was not French, and it certainly was not very nice. But it would have been enjoyable.

Well, am off to write my complaint letter. Oh and to see some kid's shows tomorrow now my alibi is back. More constructive stuff to follow.

To be French this week - just be grumpy!!!

Of course if they delete the booking, they refund the ticket, right?

(cackling hysterical laughter ensues)
Not at all... Not only do they cancel it, but you also have to pay to have another ticket issued.
Lovely.
