This year's weird thing (Part Deux)

I am sure you are all wondering with mounting anxiety whether I will be displayed as a partly naked lady on a photograph in the French Institute in September......

There was much to-ing and fro-ing, and discussions with friends, neighbours, and anyone, really, who was willing to listen (including my friend R who told me that for her it would be

out of the question! (shocked) French women are already considered like wh*res in Scotland! (indignant) I don't want to fuel the cliché!

Hum, yes, but I was still slightly hesitant (vanity = nice, arty photo with me still looking fairly appétissante), and contacted the photographer with my concerns about my lack of control over any photographs taken during the shoot.

His reply:

As this is a one off project do not want to start having to write out contracts and such like - I really do not have the time. Everyone who has posed for me has acted in good faith, and I intend to return the favour. These are not pornographic images I am taking!!

certainly did not fare too well with me in terms of increasing my confidence (but I am sure it will create more interesting google searches in the very near future...)

So-

I replied to decline, reminiscing on this uni friend of mine who posed (not even semi-naked, as she was wearing a corset) for a so-called friend about 10 years ago, supposedly for some 'project'... She ended up a year later finding one of the photos enticing people to contact one of those 'erotic' minitel rose - not her idea, but rather the 'friend' who suddenly found himself slightly strapped for cash...

Maybe I am just too cynical!
