- Les bonnes résolutions.
- Introduction to passé composé (with AVOIR).
- How to form the past participle of regular verbs.
- An important exception.
We started off by checking out last week’s vocab, and discussed briefly the way quantities are expressed in French. For ex:
- Beaucoup de
- Un peu de
- Assez de
- Un kilo de
- Une bouteille de
We had a look at your ‘
bonnes résolutions’ for
deux mille six, using the verb ‘
aller’ and the infinitive form of the chosen verb (similar to “
I am going to do” in English).
We then had a closer look at reflexive verbs:
you can find more information about these here, thanks to Tex’s online Grammar.
Finally, we read the
small text I had written about my holidays, which served both as a revision of food vocab and as a basic introduction to simple
Passé Composé (ie the verbs that take AVOIR in the past tense – very similar to the English present perfect ‘I have done’).
